It is nice to see more and more companies starting to deploy electric trucks. Now the Swedish mining company Kaunis Iron announces that they want to invest 500 million Swedish kronor (USD45.5 million) to buy electric trucks from Volvo. Since 2001 they have been testing how the trucks hold up in the cold northern Swedish terrain.

They say that once fully deployed, they would save about 15,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year.

Nimbnet applauds!
